I have learned popular modalities like Swedish, Trigger Point therapy, Sports Massage, Russian Sports Massage, Reflexology, Shiatsu, Structrual Intergration, Hydrotherapy and energy work like Acupressure and Cranial Sacral. I like them all but I do not think one modality is superior than the other. I truly believe in an Integrative Approach where I use the essence of each modality and customize a massage session for you.
75-minute is a perfect time frame to perform a Full Body massage while focusing on one or two areas. An area of tight muscle and tension usually needs more than 5-10 minutes of attention. 75-minute is long enough for me to address most of the muscles while not too long for you to lay on the table and feel like you need to move around (especially bathroom break). I service greater Harrisburg area, Hershey and West Shore. For other areas (York for example), please contact me and we can come up a reasonable quote for my transportation cost.
What if I only have sore neck and my legs are fine? There is a misconception that if you have pain around the neck area, the problem is only in that area. That is false. Our human body is just like an architecture of building. Our skeletons provide the framework and they are kept together by connective tissue (fascia) which wraps around literally every muscle and organ of the body to make sure they stay in the right place.
What happens when one parts of a building is damaged? The whole building's integrity is compromised and it is worse if the foundation of the building deviates from the original design due to old age and both internal and external damage. Our human body acts the same way. The foundiation starts with the feet. If your legs are not properly aligned and the connective tissues in that area are tight and therefore pulling more tensional force downward, it is going to have a cascading effect on the upper portion of the body.
In short, see your body as a WHOLE and not as SEPARATE PARTS.
